Saturday, August 9, 2008 - High toned, violets, tapenade and meat on the nose. Popped and poured, displaying a precociousness. Needs some air to settle down and strut its stuff. Although the nose is already very complex.
An hour and a half later, major changes. Wine gained some weight and so much richer than after pop and pour. Silky smooth finish. Nose has changed, this time bacon, deep red raspberry and a touch of charcoal. Beautiful mouth feel with glycerin notes pushing through. In the mouth, silky red raspberry and a touch of blueberry. There are some tannins pushing through in the end of the finish, but they are so ripe and do not take away from the finish.
