Friday, September 30, 2016 - Decanted 3-4 hours before tasting. Medium, translucent garnet with a brick edge. At a sweet spot or perhaps slightly past peak. Nose has an herbal character with lavender along with black plum, tobacco and grilled meat. Palate focuses in on plum, cherry, cedar, graphite with distinct cigar tobacco on the finish. Given the light bodied year, this has aged much better than I would have expected. Time to drink it up however....if it has been well cellared.
