Decanted 2 hrs, kitchen temp'

Almonacid de la Sierra, Spain. 14% alc

Outstanding bargain, a classy juicy red with fresh acidity balancing excellent fruit with some complexity and heaps of personality - even at only 3 yrs old. Off to buy more.

N....rich ripe dark cherry and plum, raspberry and blueberry, med+ intensity

C....light ruby, looks med+ body

T.....soft and ripe, gorgeous fruit-handling, mocha, espresso coffee, bitter chocolate; lively acid, some complexity, a big personality; long flavours; feels good for another 3-5 yrs in cellar but drinking v well now; ends near dry; alc maybe a bit warm at the moment - my only negative.

VFM?....costs £12.50, feels like a £20 red. Utter bargain.
