Saturday, March 25, 2023 - Pop and pour at one of our favorite restaurants. Used a Venturi aerator though and the wine was a little tight to begin with. It was earthy, a little herbaceous and dry. The tannins were bound-up, and the finish was short and dry. As time progressed, the wine opened up and relaxed. Overall smoother tannins and flavors of boysenberry syrup and dark plums abound. Would like to have kept around for a couple of ore years, and have been a fan of this wine for some time. Modest price compared to some Napa offerings, but great value. Will buy more to keep and drink.
