Monday, July 2, 2012 - Medium body, with a nose of petrol, citrus, and star fruit; with excellent acidity (still!), subtle aromatics with very faint barnyard in the background, wonderful balance, and a lengthy, understated finish. Probably the best domestic Gewurtzraminer I have tasted so far. Paired very well with a sea-urchin butter-based linguini pasta topped with masago (capelin roe) and roasted seaweed and sesame (http://stefanjora.sent.com/sea_urchin_linguini.jpg).
Update: Appeared to taste drier on the second day, when it became an intriguing complement to mozzarella with basil, olive oil, and ripe peaches.
