1989 Byron Pinot Noir

Friday, November 22, 1991 - At home in the evening. Rich, smoky ruby color. Big, smoky, smoldering nose packs a real varietal, roasted fruit punch. Black cherry. This character dominates the mouth as well, but not quite enough to completely cover somewhat vinegary, hollow flavor sensations. A good Pinot Noir, although not quite the wine I thought when I first tasted it several days ago. 5-12-13-6: 86/100.
