89 Points

Thursday, February 8, 2024 - The nose is rather reserved at first, it needs at least two hours for the clean and fresh aromatics of blackcurrant with hints of ripe gooseberries, tobacco, smoked meat and cedar to emerge. Palate echoed the nose. Energetic and zesty. A full-bodied structure filled much of the palate. Transition is somewhat patchy. Finish is a touch hollow in the middle, leaving an aftertaste of earthy nuances and bitter grape skins. At this stage of development, it is better to drink this with a steak or else let this age for another 3 years for better harmony.
