Sunday, December 7, 2008 - Dark, blood-black red. Blackberry and iron, hints of blood on the nose. Loads of kalamata olive and granite notes emerging. Sweet plums coming out with chocolate and hickory smoke/barbecue. On the palate quite dense. Pepper and black fruits, dates and smoky herbs. Hasn't really come together it seems. Some meat coming out on the palate, but ultimately a slight disappointment in relation to the incredible promise offered up by the nose.
