90 Points

Sunday, November 13, 2011 - This bordeaux blend from South Africa showed a modern character, intense in the nose, with red fruit flavors. Some tobacco and smoke was perceptible, as if to reinforce its roots and style orientation. In the palate it showed a medium body, a little lacking for my taste, but nonetheless the tannins were ripe, soft , and reinforced the flavors felt before in the nose. Acidity was good, suggesting a lot of years still ahead, confortably. The finish was not very long, I would say 5 to 6 seconds, but overall this wine is very balanced and causes a very good impression, solid showing in either a tasting or just with food.
