Friday, June 3, 2016 - Fabulous! This is one of CVNE's great wines. Unmistakably Rioja on the nose, it's a sweet kiss of American oak mixing with dark cherry and raspberry fruit. On the palate, it is silky, smooth, but at the same time somewhat muscular with excellent acidity and vigorous but also silky Tannins. many tertiary flavors turnup in the latter half of the tasting experience -- Underbrush, leather, and tobacco. One would be hard pressed to me again if I this is the one that is 15 years old! I suspect it will prove this a lot but it least 10 to 20 years. Unfortunately I have only one bottle left so I probably will never know!
