Monday, April 8, 2024 - This is mellowing very nicely. Lovely garnet colour, comparable to a quality pinot noir straight out of the bottle. I let it breathe for a few minutes before tasting. Slight floral nose, complex fruitiness in the mouth with a hint of spice, and a nice, long finish suggesting fresh peach. Could well have been a little sharper a year or two ago - but I try to age good reds at least 5 years, and this has rewarded me! Very happy that I have several more bottles in the cellar!
