Monday, August 8, 2011 - Our first bottle. Still youthful, but a very attractive youngster. Deep colour, clear nose of leather and tobacco, more tobacco, cedar and lead pencil on the palate. Excellent fruit, completely balanced, although tannin begins to show after an hour or two. Great length, but still reticent. Shows that characteristic slight lack of sweetness, which always distinguishes LB from LP and LLC. A wine of some gravity which will benefit from more time. Prospectively very fine.
