Friday, March 14, 2014 - Low neck fill.
Still young in color and constitution, but the nose is already in place.

Red color.
A perfect Bordeaux nose that is oozing of earth, cedar, stables, sumi-ink and some etheric components on a firm foundation of clear red berries. Smashing!
It fills up well throughout the mouthen path. The aromas on the nose are beautifully reflected on the palate. Acids M++ and tannins M+.
What a fantastic wine! Old school but still very well made and will live long. With one of the great Bordeaux wines in the glass, there is very little need for other wines...
Wife: 92p. (Perfect nose. Small complaint re slightly high acid level.)
First btl out of our case, next btl ~2017. We need to stay healthy in order to be able to enjoy this wine at its prime...
The sommelier's favourite wine, so we donated the last glass-and-a-half to him, made him very happy.
At absolutely amazing La Rochelle 'Sanno' (Tokyo).
