Old funky nose, but very alluring with dark fruits, cigars, dried fruits, blood iron, spices, earth, hay and rose petals. It started drinking quite well, smooth and mature cabernet but there was a touch of tannic astringency at the back end of the palate but it didn't have enough fruit to cover it.

it was only later in the drinking period that it harmonized very beautifully and elegantly but that lasted perhaps half and hour before the fruit started to decline.

Time to drink up!
