Saturday, November 2, 2019 - Riesling, Barolo and Barbaresco with Friends: Surprisingly deep color, considerably deeper than my last bottle of the 1982 Produttori Rabajà. Darker fruited, mature Nebbiolo profile with a ferrous aspect. Scents of tar, licorice and earth. On the palate harmonious and meaty, with a rustic edge. Quite long. Double-decanted 5 hours before dinner and left in the decanter in the cool cellar. Very good but overshadowed by the Giuseppe Mascarello Monprivato 2004 that followed.
