Sunday, July 3, 2022 - On the nose it had plumb, fig, dried raisins, little bit of oak. As it opens you get the tart cranberry, on the palate is so much the same. It does have a velvety, dry tannic finish but it’s pleasing. It gets softer and fruiter. Some tart on the finish too. It reminds me of a fruit roll up and makes the sides of your jaw pucker a bit with some mediums to high acid. I was told to try this as a better alternative to prisoner. That was spot on. This drinks so much more smooth with nice fruit. Much more pleasing then prisoner.
