Thursday, April 6, 2017 - A superb example of how good Spring Mountain Cabs are. This 15 year old Cabernet Sauvignon was drunk beside two significantly younger Cabs, yet was the darkest wine, black to the edge and with purple bubbles from the pour. Also, the most aromatic wine, with black cherry, black current, and black plum. The sip comes in smooth and deep, with well integrated acidity and tannin, and the swallow generates a spike of fruit flavors. Overall, drinking at its peak and will hold for another 5 years.
