90 Points

Wednesday, June 6, 2012 - This wine is growing on me, and definitely merits the 90 I gave it 2 years ago, maybe more than that. Very St. Julien, as others have pointed out. I get the cedar bouquet, almost minty (reminiscent of some new world cabs, e.g. Thelema). Not spectacular nose, but palate is rich, multi-dimensional, plums, blackberries, some tannins but fairly mild for a LB. Considering the vintage, a thoroughly enjoyable drink, and well ahead of a recent Pomerol from the same vintage which cost twice as a much !
