Saturday, February 22, 2020 - Attention! This is not your grandparents Tempranillo...Crazy good 100% Tinto made from one of my favorite Spanish producers in a modern style that checks all the right boxes. Fruit, Acid, Structure, Balance, Aromatics...this has it all!
The 05 AAlto P.S. shows of its sexy Spanish curves and full body effortlessly ( no makeup necessary ). This beauty has really begun to hit its peak at 15 years young. Saturated dark red in appearance the wine explodes with notes of crushed stone, pain grille, black cherries and wild black fruits. It is rich and dense, powerful and well proportioned with the oak held in check. Red and black fruited with complex flavors of scorched earth, leather, tobacco and spice.
There’s a reason why, along with Clio and El Nido, the AAlto P.S. is THE go to date night wine *wink, wink*. You can thank me later.
