Wednesday, December 25, 2019 - Illegible alcohol level due to label damage in my damp cellar. Long cork, not that dense. The colour is not very intense and tending to brown, with some marked turbidity.
The nose is very good, if restrained, with red berries and some forrest floor. Better still in the mouth, with a mature feel and uplifting acidity in the finish. Silky mouthfeel.
A few years ago, this came across as aggressively oaky, but the oak has been digested by now, and it contributes to the harmony of the wine.
