Wednesday, March 3, 2010 - Popped and poured, but formal notes taken after 2.5 hours open in bottle. Inky, glass, tongue and lip staining purple. Blueberry, blackberry, lilac and lavender on the nose. Cedar, spice box, forest floor and blackberry jam on the palate. Tannins are still pretty fierce on this one, but not unpleasant if you know what you are getting yourself into. Long, long finish . . . that draws you back for more. Addictive.
