Tuesday, March 12, 2013 - I agree with my fellow tasters, this wine is a truly unique Syrah. I did not note any of the 'artificial grape' some others mentioned. It was very tight upon opening. Muscular and deep in both color and taste. Big mouth coating tannins. Dark fruit but with some leathery accents at first. Opened up as the bottle warmed to room temp. More nuance to the fruit and some chocolate emerged. This was a real pleasure. I'm a fan of the Tensley and Andrew Murray central coast syrahs. This is my first Amador county wine.
