Friday, May 6, 2022 - This is very youthful and really needs a ton of air to even show a hint of drinkability. Elegant and even lithe with subtle cherry fruit along with notes of mocha and minerals. There is good acidity but certainly a lack of any sweetness of fruit at this point. The finish is taut but fairly thin and leaves me wanting. I drank this next to a similarly priced young Burgundy and there was no comparison. Perhaps it will fill out with age but it just lacks any generosity or complexity.
