Tuesday, April 5, 2011 - A huge improvement over the same bottling dumped half and hour ago due to corkage. This bottle displayed a nice acidity to balance off the fruit which was remarkably fresh for a 12 year old Cali Cab. Smoke and dirt on the nose, flavors of sour cherry, tar and moderate tannins framed by the aforementioned acid component. Nice finish. Not particulary long-lived in decanter so drink up within 2 hours after decanting.
