Friday, May 6, 2022 - Medium ruby. Medium plus body. Very high acidity. Substantial oak presence. Violet, rose potpourri, chocolate, cinnamon, sandalwood. Ripe and intense fruits of dark cherry, pomegranate and cranberry. Some cherry-liquor-like sensation and a touch of umami in midpalate. Silky tannin that leads to mocha-infused pleasant bitterness. Finishes with a floral note and a lot of baking spices. The hot vintage brought out good intensity and weight.
