90 Points

Friday, August 5, 2022 - Drunk with Mark at lunch at Pravda. No formal note written. Mark talked about Bruno Clair Marsannays, which we both like, and found some of that Marsannay terroir here, albeit not to the Clair level. Lean with crunchy red fruit, some minerality with dried and freshly cut herbs and a touch of funky sous bois. Attractive, bright acidity. Tannins not grippy but a little rustic. Sufficient volume of fruit - a good food wine - but it finished somewhat abruptly. Quite forward suggesting a drinking window out to around 2030.
