Sunday, April 7, 2024 - This is a deep violet colored wine. The nose is expressive with raspberry and sagebrush. The wine is fruit forward on the palate with raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, and peach. The body is rich and the consistency is silky, and it all comes together with a persistent finish. Overall this is a good varietal wine with fine tannins. This particular Carlisle vineyard is among my four favorites along with Bedrock, Mancini, and Saitone.
