Saturday, April 13, 2024 - Very pretty on the nose, seems to be at a good spot. The aroma is sweet with black currant jam, boiled black plum,allspice, and clove. Distant cranberry juice and alcohol burn. There are certainly vanilla and dry firewood as well.
On, the palate it’s medium- in tannin but feels really high in acohol. High acid, too. I get notes of dry paper, black currant and bruised red apples. Spices and oak notes are also very present and continue into the nice and long finish.
