Saturday, March 30, 2024 - My first ever bottle of this one. Been sitting in the cellar for 2.5 years.

Pnp'd when the Cab ran out (or Carol stole the rest) halfway thru our pizza dinner tonight. Enjoyed over 2-3 hours.

Medium magenta in the glass. Nose of earth, orange rind/orange jelly slices candy and brown spices.

Palate of smooth red cherry fruit, slightly drying tannins and spicy iron pan. This is a wonderfully complex wine for $40/bottle. Fabulous acidity which plays well on the back end with the cherry fruit and leads to an exceptionally long ending. What a cool bottle of wine! The finish alone may take this one to a 93-94 for me.....wish I had more.
