Tuesday, September 2, 2008 - Textbook, but nothing spectacular. If you can find this wine for under $10, grab a bottle. It illustrates well Viognier's characteristic minerality, spice (think white pepper), and florality on the nose; balanced mineraly acidity on the palate, with decent weight on the midpalate (though not quite up to snuff with the great Viogniers out there); and a clean finish that is well-rounded (not razor sharp like a Sauv blanc from CA, mind you, but a bit rounder). Easy drinking and nice.
