Tuesday, September 4, 2012 - Decanted 45 minutes (benefited from air). Garnet color. Not much change since two years ago. Still with incredibly bright fruit, and a fine structure of acidity and linear, somewhat firm tannins. The second bottle was vigorously splash-decanted and it seemed to impart a darker fruit profile with tarry bramble notes. Really nice. Perfectly paired to the grilled chicken and sauteed vegetables, but was not nearly the match that the '95 CDPs were for red wine risotto with parmesan rind sauce (too light and primary for that).
