The minerality was lacking compared to the previous bottle. Overall 1997 was not a great year for champagne in general and the only bottle from that year that I have truly enjoyed was from Salon. Anyone looking for a Cristal that is more representative of what this cuvee can offer would be better served to go with the 2004.
