Tuesday, November 27, 2007 - Perhaps shows as much Marlborough as it does Pinot Gris. If not for the pungency I might think Chenin, as it combines a sharp (gooseberry which keys NZ), floral and mineral (which keys Loire) nose with a broad, slightly flabby, almost sweet palate. Overall quite nice and imminentently drinkable. I don't know that I would buy it over, say, Trimbach Reserve Pinot Gris, but I certainly enjoy it and would recommend it.
