Full bodied with tremendous ripe black fruit intensity on the palate but still remains elegant and fresh in the mouth. Long finish with soft tannins. The only downside is that there is not a lot of complexity although this seems to be typical of the RR vineyard. This is approachable now with a decant but should improve over the next couple of years. Outstanding wine which is slightly better than the '02 vintage.
