Thursday, October 26, 2023 - This is a regular youngster still. According to the graph on the back label, this wine has just entered its drinking window, but I'd definitely wait another 5-10 years before cracking into them - unless your palate accustomed to young Napa Cab and the like.
Opened 8-10 hours in advance and recorked. Showed a lot of plummy, ripe fruit on the nose, a touch of oaky vanilla, and a bit of toasty barrel. The palate is fairly intense, but not overly jammy or full bodied, actually fairly composed, lots of freshness and acidity, even if there wasn't a lot of tannins.
I am so excited to open my 2015s in a few years now.
