Saturday, February 8, 2020 - Transparent and brightly jewelled lambs’ blood colour. Nose is attractive lightly scented coffee grounds, milk chocolate and strawberries. Palate is quite tart and rather thin wild strawberries and a bit of woodland undergrowth but with the acid starting to poke through a bit too much. Not much length or resonance on the finish but this is a perfectly acceptable 15 year-old light and elegant lunchtime wine from a great Central Otago producer.
