90 Points

Wednesday, March 30, 2022 - From a case bought at the winery on release. Semi-transparent black-red ruby but somewhat mulled colour. Nose is lifted, high acidity mulberry with some deeper tones in the background. Palate is sharp, somewhat fruit-faded with the acidity now poking too much to the fore. Will still be good if drank with fatty lamb but otherwise on a downward path of ‘drink up’. Still love these wines. Fine quality wine-making! 88 on 29 March but another bottle on 30 March was much better with more fruit, depth and nice spice - an easy 90 pts but still ‘drink up’.
