Thursday, February 8, 2024 - This is by far the best Malbec I have ever had. Being from Argentina, I have had hundreds of Malbecs. Everyone at my dinner felt the same way
2/8/2024 8:42:00 PM - I was surprised to find that the wine had quite a bit of sediment. I wasn't expecting that and I would strongly suggest using a filter. It was opened and poured into a decanter.
2/9/2024 7:24:00 AM - 3 of us drank it over about 2 hours. It did move some but with decanting and using a pinot glass, even the first glass was a wow. I would say that it changed a bit by the first hour, but not much after that. I did open a bottle of 2018 Angelica Zapata Malbec while we still had the last glass of Argentino to enjoy and compared the 2 glasses. The difference was obvious. Fuller flavor, although both were smooth. The Angelica did change significantly though after an hour or 2.
2/9/2024 10:59:00 PM - I opened one last week, 90 mins in a Riedel Merlot decanter (favourite decanter, slightly thinner, allowing for a gentle opening), prior to drinking drank out of a Riedel Cabernet (Bordeaux) glass. 6 of us drinking, a crowd favourite indeed.
