Saturday, January 20, 2024 - First time trying dry semillon. Lightly saline and citrus pith aroma, not highly aromatic at open.

Flavors of autumn crisp apples, lemon drop candy, and white peach juice with decent acidity. Solid 30+ second finish with no tannin and an oily texture.

Enjoyable to drink on its own. It’s an interesting wine that’s worlds apart from the Sauternes I know.
