Saturday, December 16, 2023 - Beautiful Pomerol. Pure merlot bliss with fruit as red as a red Corvette, its streamlined contours and cassis and wild-berry flavors could almost make this pass for a Burgundy but for the fact that the tannin is giving it a fairly firm shell. Give it an hour or so to stretch its legs, though, and the texture and mouthfeel will pamper you like a floppy hotel pillow.
