Monday, July 31, 2023 - This needed 24 hours to come around. I don't think an hour or two will do. Day 1: Oak and cherry, tastes like wine. Day, 2: An easy drinking, surprisingly ripe blend. I was expecting something a bit leaner with the CF and Merlot combined with a pretty low abv, but that is not the case. This is full bodied, medium+ tannins, menthol/alcohol on the nose, red fruit dominant and cloyingly sweet. I'd put this in the crowd pleasing category but it needs lots of air. It could sleep several years without issue, though I don't expect much improvement.
