Friday, August 18, 2023 - Lovely Ferriere, one of the most charming and open-knit to date. It's black-fruited in tone, ripe but cool, summer berries enjoyed with a night breeze, accented very lightly with toasty cedar. The tannins are present enough to give you a sense of chewing on the skins, but they are so refined the sensation in tossing it around your mouth is pure satin and velvet. Ferriere is usually firmer if not positively muscular at this early stage, so this is an exceptionally user-friendly vintage both in its fruit and mouthfeel.
