Saturday, March 24, 2018 - Black core, ruby rim. Dark fruits, clean earth on nose. On palate, super savoury: rare meat, roasted nuts/coffee, soy sauce, loaded with umami. Moderate acidity, high level of smooth/textured tannins, alcohol seems higher than the 13% declared. Rich, full bodied, long, complex. Superb. Drinking beautifully for a 16 year old wine; not a trace of oxidation. Will likely last many more years.
