92 Points

Sunday, April 30, 2023 - Lively and vibrant purple, totally opaque at the centre. An attractive nose of black cherries and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it's silky smooth, with subtle tannins and the perfect level of acidity to balance the sweet cherry and bramble fruit. A long and elegant finish. Overall thsi is clearly a very sophisticated and well made wine, which will scare no horses. Will it set your heart racing? Well, it didn't mine - unlike some other top notch Malbecs I've had lately, like Solo Contigo Neelands Rows. Still, it's well worth trying if you get the chance - but I'd suggest keeping the food simple, to avoid overwhelming the quiet charms of this wine. Cork, 14.5% alcohol.
