Friday, April 21, 2023 - I cannot detect any specific flaw in this wine, but I certainly don't believe that it was meant to taste this way. I'll try another bottle in the future and see. As far as this bottle goes, however... Almost a coppery color -- not what I expected. A slightly honey and herb nose. Not a very plentiful bead at all. Undistinguished on the palate, caramel notes, bit of Golden Delicious apple. Decent acidity, OK balance. Finishes short and mediocre. Really unacceptable. Made from all seven allowed grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Petit Meslier, Arbanne, Fromentau, and Pinot Gris. Disgorged June 2021.
