Tuesday, January 22, 2013 - This wine has retained a surprising amount of grace and poise after 16 years. Medium garnet with little if any browning around the rim, nice bouquet of typical brambleberry zin. On the palate its fragrant, spicy, dark fruits with a certain sweetness but balanced. A very very nice old Zin.

And to think - when this came out its 14.5% alcohol was considered "shocking". Today its low. lol, lol. Just ask Helen T with her 16%+ bombs........ I know I know - its all about the phenolic ripeness, not the sugar/alcohol content (and I have a bridge between Manhattan and Brooklyn that I want to sell you cheap!)
