Friday, February 1, 2008 - Bottle purchased from winery Spring 2007, stored at 55degF, and decanted for 45 mins before initial tasting. Food Paring: Parrano Cheese. On the nose a slightly sweet cherry, mild oaky-ness, and buttery chocolate - not particularly deep or complex. Starts with a very simple dark fruit flavor, mild and slightly bitter midpalate, and a slightly spicy tannic finish that lasts 15 or so seconds. Remained rather closed after over two hours decanted.
