Saturday, September 3, 2022 - Origin: 1.5 ha of south, located on the hillside of Semons. "Bassenon" is the name of the stream located at the bottom of the hillside.
Terroirs: Granite migmatite and gneiss
Grape varieties: 90% Syrah, 10% Viognier.
Viticulture: planted in high density (8,000-10,000 feet per ha). Treatments limited to the maximum depending on the weather, no insecticide to preserve biodiversity, little fertilizer and only organic. Control of vigor and yields, leaf stripping, green harvesting for better ripening of the grapes. Disbudding in the spring.
Vinification: manual harvesting, parcel and traditional vinification. Use of oenological products (indigenous yeasts) as little as possible. In the cellar, sorting, crushing and partial destemming. Maceration of 3 weeks in open tanks.
Ageing: 18 months in barrels. Assembly of the different plots before bottling.
Olfactory tasting: seductive and fruity wine. Nose on red and black fruits, sweet flowers and some spices.
Taste tasting: the finesse of the terroir brings a mineral freshness to this wine. The palate remains velvety with delicate tannins.
Ageing: to be enjoyed young on fruity aromas (4 to 5 years) or on evolutionary aromas (10 years and more).
