Monday, January 17, 2022 - We had this side by side with a Hall 2018 Merlot. Both were excellent. Compared to the Hall this had a bit more red fruit, a bit more acidity, and it had some more vegetable or earth notes to me while the Hall was a bit bigger, smoother, less acidic. We liked the Sequoia with food better and the Hall by itself better. Hall was ready now but I could even wait a year or two with the Sequoia.
