Tuesday, September 2, 2008 - This is really nice. Upon opening, the oak aroma predominates, but it is not typical buttery oak - more of a crusty toast scent. Mouthfeel is smooth, medium weight, with some more buttered toast flavors and citrus. Nothing too flowery for me, not too stemmy (I hate that) nor too alcoholic as I find many viogniers. Finish is shorter than I would like, but really a great wine.
Day 2: still holding up well, not a very discernible change from yesterday.
Day 3: on the edge of losing its balance, becoming more alcoholic. I suggest drinking with 24 hrs or less air time.
